How to choose a water pressure sensor?

Release time:2022-09-30

The linear range of the water pressure sensor is an output proportional to the input. In theory, the sensitivity is constant in this range. This method has a wide linear range, can expand the measurement range, and can ensure the accuracy of the measurement. In the selection of sensors, should first consider whether the measurement range is in line with the provisions.

How is the water pressure sensor selected?

The linear range of the water pressure sensor is an output proportional to the input. In theory, the sensitivity is constant in this range. This method has a wide linear range, can expand the measurement range, and can ensure the accuracy of the measurement. In the selection of sensors, should first consider whether the measurement range is in line with the provisions.

However, no sensor can guarantee absolute linearity, and its linearity is also relative. When the required measurement accuracy is not high, the sensor with a small nonlinear error is approximated to be linear, thereby greatly improving the accuracy of the measurement.

2. Sensitivity of selectivity

In general, it is desirable to detect the sensitivity of the sensor in the linear region of the water pressure sensor as high as possible. This is very advantageous for the processing of the signal, since the output signal corresponding to the measured change is larger only in the case of high sensitivity. However, this kind of sensor has high sensitivity, and external interference is easily disturbed and will be amplified, thus affecting the accuracy of measurement. Therefore, the signal-to-noise ratio of the sensor itself is high, and the interference of the external environment is greatly reduced. The sensitivity introduced when the product leaves the factory is only in one direction, and under the one-way quantity, when the demand for the order direction is large, it is necessary to Consider other low sensitivity.

3. Frequency response characteristics

The frequency response characteristics of the water pressure sensor determine the frequency domain of its measurement, and the linearity of the measurement conditions cannot be lost in a certain frequency domain. In practical applications, there is always a certain delay in the response of the sensor, and it is hoped that the delay time will be shortened as much as possible.

The water pressure sensor has a high frequency response and a wide measurement frequency domain. At the same time, due to its structural characteristics, it can detect a lower signal at a lower frequency.

The characteristics of the signal (steady-state, transient, random, etc.) should be taken into account when performing dynamic tests to prevent large deviations.

4. Determine the type of the sensor based on the measured object and the measurement environment

When carrying out specific measurements, a comprehensive study of the working principle of the water pressure sensor should be carried out first. Since there are many different sensors even for the same physical quantity, which one is more suitable for its principle, the key lies in considering the measurement characteristics and actual application: the size of the measuring range; The demand of measuring points for sensing capacity; Measurement is carried out in contact or non-contact manner; Wired or non-contact signal extraction; Sensors, domestic or imported, reasonable price, or self-developed.

5. Accuracy

Accuracy is one of the key factors affecting the measurement accuracy of the entire measurement system, the higher the accuracy, the higher the cost, so if the accuracy of the entire measurement system has reached a certain requirement, then there is no need to choose too high accuracy. In this way, it is possible to select an inexpensive and simple sensor from a large number of sensors.
